Dear Curious Cup,
Studies are always being “shown” and every body reacts differently to the delightful drink but let me (as well as the experts) just say: the pros outweigh the cons. (I know…I’m smiling too.)
Coffee, when consumed in healthy amounts (200-300 milligrams of caffeine a day which is 2 to 3 cups of coffee), contains many perks! I’m talking about coffee in its natural state before it’s decorated with cream and sugar. Here a few things to feel good about when sipping your daily brew:
- Coffee protects your heart and liver (it has more antioxidants per serving than blueberries)
- Boosts your brain power (alertness, attention, memory)
Web MD states that coffee drinkers are, “less likely to have type 2 diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia and have fewer cases of certain cancers, heart rhythm problems, and strokes.”
Remember: Everything in moderation and stay hydrated. For every cup of coffee- drink 2 full glasses of water.
Live your life. Enjoy your coffee.
