We’ve entered into the ultimate gift-giving season and one of my favorite gifts both to give and receive is a book. It’s the gift that keeps on giving page after page. A book can do no wrong–even when left unopened it tells a story as a visual piece of art or piece of home decor. Below I’ve shared with you some of my all-time favorite silly feel-good books that are both fun to read and to share.
Mo Willems’, Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed is a humorous account of one naked mole rat’s clothing dilemma and his decision to wear clothes. Marcel the Shell with Shoes On is based on Jenny Slate’s and Dean Fleischer-Camp’s famous youtube phenomenon Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, and is just as entertaining as the video itself. Another favorite is I Like You, written by Sandol Stoddard Warburg; illustrating friendship and love in an endearing and sentimental way, making it the perfect gift for that special person in your life. Adam Mansbach has mastered the art of a children’s book for grown ups, Go the F*** to Sleep, is an accurately comical portrayal of the difficulty of getting children to go to bed.
Hope you’ve enjoyed perusing my bookshelf,
